Hey gals! I know most of your kids are home from school tomorrow and you may be looking for something fun and free to do. My mom works in the gift shop at the Indiana Historical Society downtown. Tomorrow they are having a free event for MLK Day. They will be having fun crafts, programs and a little educational input as well! Here is a little bit about it from the website.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration

Join IHS and the Martin Luther King Jr. Multiservice Center in this day of celebration and remembrance of one of America’s greatest civil rights leaders.
The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center is proud to again host the MLK Multiservice Center’s Living the Legacy Awards in the Frank and Katrina Basile Theater. Music, poetry and dance will mark the occasion and all are welcome to attend!
Throughout the day, guests will enjoy free admission to the Indiana Experience, behind-the-scene tours of the History Center, programs featuring IHS staff and You Are There historic interpreters, crafts and family-friendly fare in the Stardust Terrace Café. Original materials from the IHS collection related to the upcoming experience You Are There 1968: Robert F. Kennedy Speaks, opening Feb. 22, will be on display in the library, and guests can view the traveling exhibition Faces in the Crowd: Indiana and the Political Process.

It is a very fun museum and my kids really enjoy going and seeing all the displays and interactive exhibits. There is a restaurant downstairs that is yummy but a little pricey! You can definitely share a meal. Our favorite thing to do is pack a lunch and eat it at the tables in the cafe! Which is 100% allowed!
